1. Who we are

Acktello is a Jamaica-based technology consulting and managed services business. For personal information collected through this website, Acktello acts as the data controller unless another arrangement is stated.

2. Information we collect

When you contact us or request an assessment, we may collect your name, company, business email address, telephone number and the information you choose to provide about your business or technology needs.

Our website and security services may also process technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, request metadata and security signals needed to operate, protect and troubleshoot the website.

3. Why we use your information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, evaluate whether our services are relevant to your needs, arrange assessments or consultations, maintain appropriate business records, protect the website from abuse and support the security and reliability of our services.

We do not sell personal information. We do not currently use website enquiry information for solely automated decisions that determine whether you may access our services.

4. Service providers

We use selected service providers to operate the website and handle enquiries. These currently include Cloudflare for website delivery and Turnstile bot protection, Resend for transactional website email delivery, and Microsoft 365 for business email and communications.

These providers may process limited personal or technical information on our behalf under their own service terms, security controls and data-processing arrangements.

5. International processing

Some service providers may process or store information outside Jamaica. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and appropriate contractual, technical and organizational safeguards for the information being processed.

6. How long we keep information

Website enquiry and assessment-request information that does not lead to an active customer or supplier relationship is generally retained for up to 12 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless a longer period is reasonably required for legal, security or dispute-resolution purposes.

If an enquiry becomes a customer engagement, information may be retained for longer as part of the relevant contractual, operational, accounting or legal records.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration. Measures used on this website include encrypted HTTPS connections, server-side form validation, access controls and Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we review and improve our safeguards as the service evolves.

8. Cookies and website security

Acktello does not currently use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies on this website.

Cloudflare and Turnstile may process strictly necessary technical signals and security information to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated or malicious traffic and to protect the website.

9. Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to be informed about how your personal information is used, request access to it, request correction of inaccurate information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

We may update this notice when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The latest version will always be published on this page with its effective date.
